Living History Day at New Bern Battlefield Park

Join us as uniformed re-enactors from the 5th and 7th NC Infantry Regiments will set up a full period camp at New Bern Battlefield Park. Both Union and Confederate soldiers will be in camp. Visitors will be able to view several demonstrations and displays including a Civil War surgeon’s display, weapons display, and a cavalry demonstration, and artillery demonstration. Activities will begin with Morning Roll Call and Inspection followed by an Infantry Drill. Later, see an artillery demonstration, the Camp Inspection Scenario, and a Weapons and Gear Presentation. Watch a Campaigner Demonstration followed by a Civilian Demonstration. Afternoon activities begin with a Medical Demonstration, followed by a Cavalry Demonstration, and a Suttler Demonstration.
