Mile High Kite Festival 2025

Escape the summer heat to enjoy the cool mountain air and whimsical creations soaring above 5,500 feet in elevation. The Mile High Kite Festival takes place in the town meadow of Beech Mountain where a constant breeze refreshes late summer days. Bring the family for an afternoon of kite flying demonstrations lead by recognized kite clubs, kite crafts, food vendors and panoramic views. A free kite will be provided for each child.
