Annual Folkmoot Festival

Dancers and musicians from around the world light up the mountains of Western North Carolina during this multi-day event in the towns of Waynesville and Canton. The annual festival features cultural ambassadors and dance groups performing in various traditional styles from Latin America, Southeast and East Asia, Europe, as well as local Appalachian and Cherokee dancers and musicians. With the introductory Summer Soirée, during which attendees can sample international foods, the International Evening that features a multicultural market and dance parade, and the ultimate International Day that brings it all together, Folkmoot brings the world's diverse cultures together. Sharing traditions and learning about people around the world has never been more exciting and entertaining! Enjoy performances, workshops, the Parade of Nations, and meet the performers.
