Some festivals stand out more than others—and the Homecoming Festival at the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford is one of them. The home is the oldest and first facility for children in North Carolina.

Each fall, Oxford rolls out a heartfelt welcome to alumni of the Home during its beloved Homecoming Festival.

The celebration kicks-off with the opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. A highlight of the day is the parade – North Carolina’s largest Shriners parade – at 11 a.m. Tastings from the BBQ cook-off are available at noon, and amusement rides run all day from 10:30 to 3 p.m. And don’t miss the day of music, including a performance by the Band of Oz from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

All in all it’s a day filled with joy, community, and connection.
