For more than 220 years, Southport has celebrated our nation's Independence in a big way, and we invite you to join the celebration! Incorporated as the N.C. 4th of July Festival in 1972, the festival remembers the sacrifices, celebrates freedom, and promotes family fun.
The four days of events include children’s entertainment, arts & crafts market, food truck row, entertainment, flag retirement & flag raising ceremonies, and the reading of the Declaration of Independence. Festivities will conclude on July 4 with a fireworks display fired from the Southport waterfront that will be visible for miles around!
