Come experience sixty bold, high-impact outdoor works of art showcased throughout the downtown communities of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough. Uproar will feature two-dimensional pieces, sculptures, and installations. Participating artists represent North Carolina and five additional southeastern states and they will vie for cash prizes awarded based on public voting and a jury panel of experts. So wander and vote for your favorite. The art can be seen daily from August 1 - August 23. The non-ticketed biennial festival is free, the outdoor locations are easy to navigate, and audio descriptions are offered for individuals with low vision. Additionally hop on and off a free trolley running through downtown Chapel Hill and Carrboro, Saturdays August 2, 9 and 16 from 12 pm - 8 pm starting at the Chapel Hill/Orange County Welcome Center at 308 West Franklin Street.
