Andy Griffith Museum & Original Siamese Twins Exhibit
Andy Griffith’s hometown of Mount Airy is home to the Andy Griffith Museum, which features hundreds of items from the life and career of Andy Griffith in movies, television and music as well as a variety of memorabilia. There are even actual props from “The Andy Griffith Show” and the famous “Matlock” suit given by Andy Griffith himself. The Andy Griffith Museum also includes items donated by cast members and actors from “The Andy Griffith Show” as well as a special section on the career of actress and current Mount Airy resident Betty Lynn ("Thelma Lou").
Visit the exhibit of the Original Siamese Twins, which includes photographs, furniture and video that shows how their life was after leaving Siam and coming to live in Surry County.
The “Andy & Opie” TV Land Landmark Statue salutes the iconic vision of Andy and Opie on the way to the fishing hole.
