Jolly Roger Pier
Once the site of observation tower #8 for NASA’s project Operation Bumbleee, the Jolly Roger Pier now sports great fishing, fantastic sunsets and an abundance of wildlife viewing. With the old tower launch pad being converted into a patio for the pier you can stand where history was once made or take a stroll 850 feet out over the ocean or fish over the side for hundreds of species of fish including mullet, drum, sea trout, flounder, mackerel, croaker and more. The Jolly Roger Pier has been a landmark for Topsail Beach for more than 4 generations and many families make a tradition to have an early morning walk to see the beautiful sunrise or to catch a glimpse of shore boards, dolphins and sea turtles. The pier is fully lit at night with a fully stocked tackle shop for the novice fisherman and gifts for the souvenir hunter.
Jolly Roger Grill onsite, too, serving great favorites!
