Historic Hot Springs Welcome Center
Right in the center of downtown Hot Springs (on the Appalachian Trail), the Welcome Center offers information about what to do in the area. Brochures and staff members are there to help. A display about the history of the area is also presented. Staff is here 10 am - 4 pm daily.
The town is located at the junction of the Appalachian Trail and the French Broad River, Today, Hot Springs is a way station for hikers and a magnet for people who want to experience the therapeutic value and healing power of the springs. The Appalachian Trail runs right through the middle of the area, making Hot Springs a welcome slice of civilization for hikers on the trail.
