Great places to explore and enjoy! The Planetarium, Health & Science Museum includes the 24-foot ceiling planetarium and museum features hands-on health and science exhibits and programs. At the Exchange Nature Center, get your hands wet investigating our salt-water touch tank filled with a variety of different coastal creatures. Explore numerous exhibits of native plants and animals, including live venomous and non-venomous snakes, flying squirrels, talking birds, bears, bobcats and more.
The Kinston-Lenoir County TDA-managed campground is a full-service campground by the Neuse River offering 23 sites with full hook-ups for recreational vehicles (including water, sewer, and 20/30/50-amp electric hook-ups); additional sites with 30-amp hook-ups; and tent sites without hookups. A fee is charged for all sites. Maximum stay 30 days. Group camping is welcomed.
