So, once you reach the top of Grandfather Mountain, there’s a swing bridge. Now when I first saw it I was like, “No way. There’s no way I can cross that thing! It’s a mile high!” Well technically it’s only like 80 feet off the ground but elevation wise, it really is one mile high! Sure, Hanging Rock State Park is known for some great views, but it has some great waterfalls too! Before I started a the hike up to Cook’s Wall, I took the short trail down to the Upper Cascades Falls.
